Requirements for Andorrans

ETIAS requirements for Andorran citizens

The ETIAS Italy for Andorra will be launched in 2026 as part of a new travel authorisation system for Schengen Area countries. This visa waiver will be available to nationals who are eligible for visa-free travel to Italy, including Andorran citizens.

Andorrans must meet several ETIAS Italy requirements in order to obtain the visa waiver.

Visitors from Andorra will be able to apply for an ETIAS only if they are travelling for tourism, leisure, or business, and if their trip does not exceed 90 days (3 months).

Furthermore, Andorran passport holders will have to complete an online application form and pay the ETIAS processing fee. They will also be required to have an email address to receive the visa waiver.

What will be the validity of the ETIAS Italy for Andorrans?

ETIAS Italy will authorise Andorran nationals to spend up to 90 consecutive days (3 months) in Italy or another Schengen member country within any 180-day period.

The visa waiver will have a total validity of 3 years from the date of the issue and allow multiple entries within that period. Andorran nationals must note that once the applicant’s passport expires, the ETIAS will immediately become invalid.

It will not be possible to extend the ETIAS Italy after its expiration date. Andorrans who would like to stay in Italy longer will need to leave the Schengen Area and obtain a new visa waiver. Alternatively, they can apply for a visa suitable for longer stays.

Travellers from Andorra should keep in mind that it is against the law to overstay an ETIAS visa waiver.

  • First and last names

These conditions are also known as the ETIAS Italy entry requirements, and all Andorrans must abide by them.

If the applicant’s Andorran passport is bound to expire or is lost, stolen, or damaged prior to the trip, it is necessary to obtain a new one and subsequently reapply for ETIAS with the new passport.

Dual nationals who have more than one passport must make sure that they travel with the same passport that they used for applying for ETIAS Italy.
